LAGOS STATE SHINES WITH HIGHEST PASS RATE IN TRCN’S NATIONWIDE BATCH ‘A’ 2025 PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING EXAMINATION                                                                                 28-05-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                          Lagos State Shines with Highest Pass Rate in TRCN’s Nationwide Batch ‘A’ 2025 Professional Qualifying Examination

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), has released the results of the recently conducted Batch ‘A’ Professional Qualifying Examination.

The result shows that out of the 12,874 candidates that Sat for the examination, 8,705 passed while 4,169 failed.

It also reveals that Lagos State emerged as the leading state with a pass rate of 80.0%, followed by Edo State at 73.3%, Niger State at 69.2%, while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ranked fourth at 68.3%.

A statement by the Council explains that some challenges were encountered during he examination which include low digital skills among some teachers which affected their performance.

It states the TRCN is working to address these challenges with digital literacy training for teachers as the Council is committed to supporting the growth and development of educators.
