MINISTER OF EDUCATION REVEALS THAT OVER 90,000 APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FOR THE TVET                                                                            04-06-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Minister of Education, Dr. Olatunji Alausa has revealed that over ninety thousand applications have been received, less than a week after the portal for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative was launched.

Dr. Alausa who made this known on his Twitter handle, described the development as an incredible show of interest in skills development across Nigeria.

He said the Ministry of Education was thrilled by the overwhelming response to the TVET Initiative!

The Minister encourages applicants to ensure the names on their BVN and NIN matches to avoid delays in submission.

Dr. Alausa assured Nigerians that the government was working to resolve other issues encountered by applicants.

The Federal Government, officially launched Nigeria’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative on Friday, May 30, 2025 to empower youths with industry relevant skills for self reliance and increase their employability.

The initiative ensures beneficiaries are also certified in and recognized globally.
