KANO POLICE DISCOVER FAKE AK-47 RIFLE IN SUSPECT’S HOME 05-06-25

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the discovery of a fake AK-47 rifle in the home of a key suspect.
The police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said the item was found during a search of the suspect’s residence.
According to Kiyawa, the discovery raises concerns about the level of planning behind the mob attack that led to the DPO’s death.
The incident occurred after a mob attacked the Rano Police Division, resulting in the death of CSP Baba Ali.
The unrest followed the death of a motorcycle mechanic, Abdullahi Musa, who had been arrested for allegedly riding recklessly under the influence of substances.
The police have arrested 41 suspects in connection with the violence, including the alleged principal suspect in the killing of the DPO.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has assured that the police will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that all perpetrators are brought to justice.
