By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Managing Director of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Mr Oluwaseun Faleye, has advocated safety culture in the workplace to prevent avoidable injuries.

Mr Faleye stated this when he received the President of the Institute of Safety Professionals in Nigeria, Dr Udezi Stephen, in Abuja.

The Managing Director stated that the NSITF was established to pay compensation to enrolled employees who either sustain injuries or die on duty.

Dr Stephen said the two organisations would collaborate in the area of training and certification of staff on Safety and in walk-through audit.

High point of the meeting was the conferment of Safety Ambassador Award on Mr Feleye.
