NASARAWA: APC CRISIS DEEPENS AS FACTIONS CLASH OVER CHAIRMAN’S SUSPENSION……………

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The crisis in Nasarawa State APC worsened as rival factions in Gayam Ward, Lafia LGA, clashed over the suspension of State Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Bello.

Ward Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Ilyasu announced Bello’s suspension over alleged anti-party activities. But another faction, led by Mallam Adamu Mamuda Awe, rejected the move, calling it unconstitutional.

Mamuda’s group suspended Ilyasu and his ally, Ibrahim Kwande, accusing them of violating the APC Constitution. They reaffirmed support for Bello, recognizing him as the legitimate State Chairman and vowed to report the matter to higher party authorities.

Ilyasu, however, insisted the suspension stands and that he remains Ward Chairman.
