FORMER NIGERIAN PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI DIES AT 82…….

Nigeria is mourning the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away at the age of 82 in London.

A former military ruler turned elected leader, Buhari made history in 2015 when he became the first opposition candidate to defeat a sitting president in Nigeria. He was re-elected in 2019, serving two terms.

Known for his personal integrity and austere lifestyle, Buhari was popular among the masses in northern Nigeria, particularly the talakawa (poor). He promised to fight corruption, reduce unemployment, and crush the Boko Haram insurgency.

However, his presidency was marked by economic challenges, insecurity, and criticism over his leadership style. Despite this, Buhari remained a symbol of discipline and was admired for his commitment to national unity.

May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
