NATIONAL SECURITY DEMANDS UNITY – CAS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has urged stronger collaboration among Nigeria’s security agencies, stressing that national security is a shared responsibility that transcends boundaries.

Speaking at the Air Provost Conference in Jos, he said emerging threats like terrorism, banditry, and cybercrime require a united front, with intelligence sharing, coordinated operations, and capacity building as key strategies.

Air Marshal Abubakar unveiled new measures to boost the Air Provost’s role, including a forensic and digital crime lab, more K9 units, and enhanced training in cyber warfare and digital forensics. He assured that the Nigerian Air Force remains committed to democracy, discipline, and respect for civil authority.

He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support and called on participants to use the conference to strengthen policies and cooperation.
