NIGER GOV’T PLEDGES N5BN TO REVIVE NCAT MINI CAMPUS IN MINNA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Niger State Government has pledged ₦5 billion for classrooms and hostels to revive the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) mini campus at Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago announced the support while hosting NCAT Zaria management, stressing that the project will reduce the need for Nigerians to travel abroad for aviation training.

He reaffirmed his vision to make Minna airport a hub for both aviation and agriculture.

NCAT Rector, Dr. Danjuma Adamu Ismail, highlighted the College’s long partnership with Niger State and its role in aviation training since 1964. The team also inspected the airport’s fuel depot and housing unit, which the Governor said may be replaced with improved facilities.
