2027: PDP DEMANDS LEGAL BACKING FOR ELECTRONIC RESULT TRANSMISSION

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for a legal framework to make electronic transmission of election results mandatory ahead of the 2027 polls.

Speaking in Abuja, PDP spokesperson Debo Ologunagba said real-time transmission from polling units is key to credible and transparent elections. He warned against premature campaigns that could overheat the political space.

On the party’s upcoming national convention in Ibadan this November, Ologunagba assured that mobilisation is in full swing, praising PDP leaders for their commitment to strengthening democracy.
