NIGERIA OPEN FOR INVESTMENT, VP SHETTIMA TELLS VISA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured global investors that Nigeria is open for business across all sectors, emphasizing President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to economic transformation through tough but rewarding reforms.

Speaking while receiving a delegation from VISA led by Regional President Tareq Muhmood, Shettima noted that reforms are already boosting growth, strengthening foreign reserves, and restoring investor confidence.

He encouraged VISA to expand in Nigeria, highlighting the opportunities in digital payments to drive inclusion, transparency, and anti-corruption efforts.

VISA, on its part, commended the reforms and pledged deeper investment in Nigeria to support initiatives that improve livelihoods.
