NAHCON CHAIRMAN MEETS SAUDI HAJJ OFFICIALS TO STRENGTHEN PREPARATIONS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, has met with the Director General on Hajj Affairs at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Jeddah as part of efforts to boost Nigeria’s preparations for the forthcoming Hajj exercise.

During the meeting, Professor Usman presented requests aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s planning process and sought the ministry’s support in ensuring a smooth operation. Responding, the Director General, Abdallah As-Sheehri, assured that some of the requests would be forwarded to the relevant Saudi authorities.

He, however, emphasized the importance of compliance with Saudi Arabia’s updated Hajj policies, particularly strict adherence to deadlines, urging the Nigerian Hajj Mission to align with the new operational framework.

The engagement underscores NAHCON’s commitment to proactive planning and international collaboration to deliver a seamless pilgrimage experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
