By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Two newly elected senators, Joseph Ikpea and Emmanuel Nwachukwu, have been sworn in as members of the National Assembly.

Ikpea now represents Edo Central, succeeding Governor Monday Okpebholo, while Nwachukwu of APGA takes over the Anambra South seat formerly held by the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio welcomed the new lawmakers, urging them to serve with patriotism and work for Nigeria’s unity and progress.
