GOVERNOR MBAH SET TO JOIN APC NEXT TUESDAY

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, will officially defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) next Tuesday.

The APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, confirmed this during the inauguration of the new Enugu State APC caretaker committee led by Ben Nwoye at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

Nwoye described the planned defection as a “merger between transformation and renewed hope,” saying it marks a new political dawn for Enugu and the Southeast.

He said the move would end Enugu’s decade-long stay in the opposition and align the state with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Governor Mbah’s entry into the APC is expected to attract state lawmakers, local government officials, and other political stakeholders.
