The Bayero University Kano Alumni Association (BUKAA), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter, has paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Mr. Abba Aliyu, to congratulate him on his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The delegation, led by the Chapter Chairman, Alhassan Mohammed, said the visit was also aimed at formally introducing the association and its objectives to the REA boss, who is himself an alumnus of the university.

In the delegation were Dr. Omoh Atsenokhai (Secretary), Salma Mohammed (Auditor General), Aminu Kankara (Financial Secretary), Barr. Al-Bashir Likko (Legal Adviser), Aminu Idris (Welfare Chair), and Aliyu Isah (Assistant Secretary).

During the meeting, the Chapter appealed to Mr. Aliyu to use his good office to address the lingering electricity challenges facing Bayero University Kano, especially at the institution’s new campus. The association also pledged its continued support and prayers for his success in his new role.

Responding, Mr. Aliyu expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the association’s commitment to fostering unity and development among BUK graduates. He assured the delegation of his support for initiatives aimed at giving back to the university and empowering alumni members.

The visit ended with the presentation of a commemorative plaque to the REA boss, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by the Chapter Secretary, Dr. Omoh Atsenokhai, on behalf of the executive committee.
