POLICE NAB NOTORIOUS MOTORCYCLE ROBBER, RECOVER STOLEN BIKES IN ANAMBRA

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested one Chiemerie Okeke, a notorious motorcycle robbery suspect, along with two receivers of stolen motorcycles in Iruowelle Village, Awka-Etiti.
The arrest, carried out by operatives of Nnobi Division in collaboration with the Awka-Etiti Vigilante Group, led to the recovery of four stolen Kymco 125 motorcycles.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, the breakthrough followed a victim’s report that two men snatched his motorcycle at Awka-Etiti. A swift intelligence-led operation led to the arrest of the suspects and recovery of the stolen items.
The Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, commended the police team and the vigilante group for their teamwork and urged residents to continue providing useful information to support the fight against crime.
