Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has described the consensus mode of primary elections as the best option for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja after submitting his report on the Ekiti State governorship primary, Ododo said the process was peaceful and stress-free, with all stakeholders agreeing on Governor Biodun Oyebanji as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2026 election.
He credited the success to President Bola Tinubu’s inclusive leadership, saying it prevented crises, litigations, and waste of resources, allowing Ekiti to channel funds into development.
Ododo also praised APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for providing strong leadership and setting a model other parties could emulate. He reaffirmed the commitment of APC members to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
