GOVERNOR YUSUF EMPOWERS 5,200 WOMEN WITH N50,000 MONTHLY SUPPORT IN KANO

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has launched a monthly empowerment scheme for 5,200 women across the 44 local government areas of the state. Each beneficiary will receive N50,000 to support small businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Speaking at the flag-off in Government House, Governor Yusuf said the initiative fulfills his campaign promise to uplift women, reduce poverty, and promote self-reliance. He urged beneficiaries to use the funds productively to boost their income and contribute to community growth.

ALGON Chairperson, Hajiya Saadatu Yusha’u, praised the governor for prioritizing grassroots development and women’s empowerment.

The event featured the symbolic presentation of the first batch of empowerment funds to selected beneficiaries.
