VP SHETTIMA URGES ACF TO BACK TINUBU’S RENEWED HOPE AGENDA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) to unite behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that the North must remain united for national stability and progress.

Receiving the ACF delegation led by Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu at the Presidential Villa, Shettima said it was time for northern leaders to resist divisive elements and work together for a stronger Nigeria.

He warned against those exploiting grievances for personal gain, urging leaders to focus on fairness, inclusion, and justice. “Some agitations are genuine, others are driven by greed. We must promote equity and isolate agents of chaos,” he said.

The Vice President reaffirmed that Tinubu’s administration is committed to inclusion, ensuring that every community, faith, and group has a voice in governance. He assured that the North remains a key stakeholder, noting the government’s efforts in education, agriculture, industry, and security.

Shettima highlighted initiatives like NELFUND for students and investments in agro-processing and industrial zones, saying peace and economic empowerment are the foundation of the North’s renewal.

In his remarks, Dalhatu praised the government’s reforms and invited Shettima to the ACF’s 25th Anniversary in Kaduna, where an endowment fund for northern development will be launched.
