The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and three other officials for alleged anti-party activities.
The decision was reached during an emergency National Working Committee (NWC) meeting held in Abuja on Saturday.
According to the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the affected officers are suspended for one month and will face the party’s disciplinary committee for further action. During this period, they will not perform their official duties.
Ologunagba added that Deputy National Secretary, Hon. Setonji Koshoedo, will act as National Secretary, while the National Director of Legal Services will temporarily oversee the legal department.
He assured that preparations for the party’s national elective convention in Ibadan, scheduled for November 15–16, will continue as planned despite recent court rulings.
