OPERATION LAFIYA NAKOWA: TROOPS DESTROY BANDITS’ CAMP IN TARABA

Troops of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army / Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have intensified clearance operations under Operation Lafiya Nakowa to flush out bandits and terrorists in Taraba State.

According to a statement by Lt. Muhammad Umar, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, the troops conducted a successful patrol through several villages in Takum LGA. Acting on fresh intelligence, they stormed TY Farm in Tati, where bandits fled after facing superior firepower.

A major bandits’ camp was discovered and destroyed, with one Dane gun and other items recovered.

Commander 6 Brigade, Brig. Gen. Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, praised the troops for their bravery and reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to sustaining peace and security in Taraba State. He also urged residents to continue sharing credible information with security forces.
