By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, has ordered troops of Operation Fansan Yanma to intensify the hunt for the students abducted from Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State.

During his visit to the area, he urged commanders and troops to act swiftly on all intelligence and maintain round-the-clock pursuit, stressing that rescuing the girls is a top priority.

Shaibu also met with vigilantes and hunters, calling them vital partners and urging close collaboration to track down the kidnappers. He assured local leaders and school authorities of the Army’s full commitment to bringing the girls home safely.

The COAS encouraged troops to stay disciplined, professional, and focused as operations continue.
