FCTA DEBUNKS SCHOOL CLOSURE RUMOUR, SUSPENDS EDUCATION SECRETARY

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The FCTA has dismissed reports claiming government schools would close on November 28, 2025, saying no such directive exists. Minister Nyesom Wike has ordered the suspension of Education Mandate Secretary Dr. Danlami Hayyo, while disciplinary action has been directed against the Director of School Services.

The administration urged parents and students to ignore the false report, reaffirming that the academic calendar remains unchanged and assuring residents of strengthened security measures.
