PRESIDENT TINUBU OKAYS NIGERIA’S TEAM FOR US-NIGERIA WORKING GROUP

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

President Bola Tinubu has approved Nigeria’s membership of the US-Nigeria Joint Working Group to boost security cooperation. The move follows agreements reached during the recent Washington, DC visit led by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, who will head the Nigerian team.

The group brings together key government figures, including top ministers, security chiefs, and intelligence heads, with Ms. Idayat Hassan and Mr. Paul Alabi serving as the secretariat.

President Tinubu urged the team to work closely with US partners to ensure smooth execution of all shared commitments.
