The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has supported 250 persons with disabilities in Delta State with ₦200,000 each to boost their small businesses.

Speaking in Asaba through Mrs. Tobore Oborevwori, she said the initiative aims to strengthen livelihoods and help beneficiaries grow their existing ventures.

She added that the empowerment programme is taking place across all 36 states and the FCT, with ₦50 million allocated to each state and DEPOWA for distribution. A total of 9,500 PWDs nationwide are expected to benefit, amounting to ₦1.9 billion.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Toyin Akingbuwa, who lost a leg in an accident, expressed gratitude, noting that the grant will help him better support his family.
