INDIA, NIGERIA DEEPEN DEFENCE PARTNERSHIP

India’s Defence Adviser to Nigeria, Colonel Manoj Singh, visited the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, in Abuja to strengthen military cooperation between both countries.

The visit reaffirmed commitment to deeper defence ties, expanded training for Nigerian troops, and enhanced technical exchanges.
Colonel Singh praised the Nigerian Army’s efforts against security threats, while Gen. Shaibu highlighted India’s long-standing support in training, capacity building, and defence development. He also called for stronger collaboration in counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing, and equipment support.
