IRETI KINGIBE DUMPS LABOUR PARTY FOR ADC

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Ireti Kingibe, has officially defected from the Labour Party to the African Democratic Congress, ADC. Speaking in Abuja while receiving her ADC membership card, Kingibe said the move was aimed at strengthening her political platform to better deliver democratic dividends to FCT residents.

She called on party members to work together to secure victory for ADC in the 2026 Area Council elections and the 2027 general polls. Party leaders welcomed her into the fold, expressing confidence that her entry will boost the party’s chances in the FCT as ADC positions itself as a strong opposition force.
