600 WOMEN, WIDOWS AND YOUTHS EMPOWERED IN KWARA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

No fewer than 600 women, widows and youths in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State have benefited from an empowerment programme that provided working tools, food items and cash support.

The initiative, organised by members representing Ilorin South Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, is aimed at promoting self-reliance and reducing poverty among vulnerable groups.

Speaking at the event, the state leadership of the ruling party described the programme as part of ongoing efforts to deliver dividends of democracy and ease economic hardship, assuring residents of continued support from the government.
