DSP COMMITS SUICIDE DURING ARMS AUDIT IN NIGER STATE

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

A Deputy Superintendent of Police, Abdullahi Isah, has reportedly taken his own life during a routine arms audit in Minna, the Niger State capital.

The officer, attached to Mobile Police Force 12, was said to have shot himself in the head while the audit was ongoing, dying instantly.

The incident followed allegations linking him to illegal ammunition dealings, for which he had been arrested earlier this month.

The Niger State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding his death.
