GOV ABDULRAZAQ PRESENTS ₦644BN 2026 BUDGET FOCUSING ON PROJECTS & SECURITY

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has presented a ₦644 billion budget for 2026 to the State House of Assembly, prioritizing project completion, security, and workers’ welfare. About 66% of the budget targets capital projects, including investments in security technology to combat kidnapping and crime.

The governor also announced improved welfare for workers, salary adjustments for medical officers, a new Teachers Salary Allowance, and continued support for agriculture and food security. Speaker Engr Salihu Yakubu-Danladi commended the governor’s fiscal discipline and assured speedy legislative review.
