NOTORIOUS BANDIT LEADER GAYAMA BUSTED IN BENUE-TARABA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Troops from Forward Operating Base Wukari in Taraba have arrested Fidelis Gayama, a feared bandit behind kidnappings and robberies along the Benue–Taraba axis.

The arrest, conducted on 21 December 2025 at Vaase Community, Benue, was part of a precision, intelligence-led operation.

Gayama, linked to the wanted armed group leader Aka Dogo, has terrorized travelers and communities along Kente-Wukari Road. Confirmed wanted by local police, he is now in military custody and will face prosecution.

Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa praised the troops’ discipline and precision, calling the arrest a major blow to criminal networks, and urged the public to keep sharing credible intelligence with security agencies.
