GOMBE NUJ, RATTAWU MOURN MEMBERS KILLED IN ROAD ACCIDENT

The Nigeria Union of Journalists and the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union in Gombe State are mourning the loss of seven members who died in a tragic road accident along the Gombe–Yola Road. The unions described the incident as heartbreaking, noting that the victims were dedicated professionals who made valuable contributions to journalism and broadcasting in the state.

They expressed condolences to the families, colleagues, and the entire NUJ and RATTAWU community, while praying for the peaceful repose of the departed and quick recovery for those injured. Funeral prayers for the deceased Muslim members are scheduled for Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Emir’s Palace in Gombe. Members were urged to remain united and strong during this difficult time.
