OPERATION PEACE SHIELD: ARMY FOILS KIDNAPPING, RESCUES THREE IN TARABA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Troops of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army under Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke have thwarted a kidnapping attempt and rescued three victims in Taraba State through a swift, intelligence-led operation. Acting on credible information, soldiers moved into Sangai Village in Karim Lamido Local Government Area, forcing the kidnappers to abandon their captives and flee towards the Taraba–Plateau border. The victims were safely rescued and are currently receiving care before being reunited with their families.

The Army commended the troops for their professionalism and reaffirmed its commitment to sustained operations against criminal elements across the state. Members of the public were also urged to continue supporting security agencies with timely and reliable information to enhance peace and security.
