ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST MAN OVER GIRLFRIEND’S MURDER IN EKWULOBIA

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old man, Valentine Anikpe, over the killing of his girlfriend, Ogechukwu Mmadubugwu, a 35-year-old single mother, in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area.
Police said the suspect confessed to stabbing the victim in the neck during a late-night confrontation, allegedly triggered by suspicion and emotional distress. He was also said to have attempted to mislead investigators after the incident.
The Police Command condemned the act and advised the public to seek peaceful ways of resolving disputes and to report signs of domestic violence early. The suspect will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
