TROOPS BUST ILLICIT DRUG NETWORK IN NORTHEAST

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) have disrupted a major drug supply network supporting terrorist activities in Borno State. Acting on credible intelligence, security operatives arrested 65-year-old Hauwa Abulazeez in Askira Uba LGA, seizing 30 kilograms of cannabis linked to Boko Haram operatives.

Investigations revealed the drugs were sourced from Taraba State and transported across multiple communities for distribution. The suspect is in custody as authorities work to dismantle the wider network sustaining criminal and terrorist operations in the region.
