SOLUDO REASSURES ANAMBRA RESIDENTS ON END TO SIT-AT-HOME

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has reassured residents and traders of his administration’s resolve to end the sit-at-home order that has disrupted economic activities across the state.

The governor gave the assurance during a visit to the Onitsha Main Market, which recently reopened on Mondays after about five years of closure linked to the sit-at-home directive. Soludo expressed satisfaction with the level of trader participation and said the return to normal business activities is vital for livelihoods and economic recovery.

He urged traders to continue their businesses, assuring them of adequate security across the state. Traders welcomed the reopening and thanked the governor for his efforts, as security presence helped reduce compliance with the sit-at-home order.
