ABIA POLICE DENY BOMBS FOUND IN ABA CHURCH

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Abia State Police Command has dismissed reports that a bomb or explosive was recovered from a church in Aba. DSP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer, clarified that investigations confirmed no such incident occurred.

The church, which encroached on a road under reconstruction, was asked to move back. During the adjustment, the military removed an iron rod from the structure, which was mistakenly reported as a bomb. DSP Chinaka assured residents that the police remain vigilant in protecting lives and property.
