NEDC SUPPORTS INJURED JOURNALISTS WITH EQUIPMENT

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has donated work equipment to journalists injured in a motor accident during an inspection tour in Bauchi State.

Receiving the support, NUJ President, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya Abdullahi, praised the Commission’s swift intervention and appealed for assistance in covering health insurance for practising journalists across the North East, noting it aligns with the federal government’s healthcare agenda.

The NEDC described the donation as part of its commitment to the welfare of journalists affected during the tour.
