NSCDC RAIDS KWARA, ARRESTS 12 SUSPECTED ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara State has arrested 12 suspected illegal immigrants from Mali in the Akerebiata area of Ilorin following a tip-off from residents. The suspects were found in a rented apartment with phones, passports, IDs, and cash, raising concerns about their activities.

State Commandant Bala Bodinga said an intensive investigation has begun to determine any criminal links before handing them over to the Nigeria Immigration Service. He stressed that NSCDC remains committed to preventing Kwara from becoming a haven for crime and urged residents to stay vigilant.
