BAUCHI PDP SETS UP EXIT COMMITTEE AMID DEFECTION TALKS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Peoples Democratic Party in Bauchi State has set up a high-level committee to review its future as speculation grows over a possible defection by Governor Bala Mohammed. The move comes after the governor openly indicated that the African Democratic Congress is a strong option, though consultations are still ongoing.

Party leaders say the committee will assess all political options and engage widely with stakeholders before recommending the next step. The decision is expected to shape the state’s political direction as realignment talks deepen.
