SERAP URGES TINUBU TO PROBE ₦2.9BN FRAUD CLAIMS IN NIGCOMSAT, NNRA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

SERAP has called on President Bola Tinubu to order a full investigation into alleged ₦2.9 billion in missing or mismanaged funds in NIGCOMSAT and the NNRA, raising concerns over accountability in key government agencies.

The organisation asked the Attorney General and anti-corruption agencies to probe the allegations and ensure anyone found responsible is prosecuted, while also demanding recovery of any diverted funds.

Citing findings from the Auditor-General’s report, SERAP warned that failure to act could weaken public trust and harm critical sectors tied to national development and safety. It also gave the government a seven-day deadline to respond or face possible legal action.
