By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban
All is set for today’s governorship election in Osun State, with 15 political parties and 2,339,233 registered voters expected to participate in the off-cycle poll.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has distributed sensitive election materials, including ballot papers and BVAS devices, to polling units across the state’s 30 local government areas.
Security operatives from the Nigerian Army, Police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have also been deployed to Osogbo, Ilesa, Ile-Ife, Ede, Ikire and other flashpoints to ensure a peaceful and credible election.
