TAJUDEEN PROPOSES ANNUAL NIGERIA-SAUDI PARLIAMENTARY DIALOGUE

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr Abbas Tajudeen, has proposed an annual parliamentary dialogue between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia to strengthen relations between both countries.
Tajudeen made the proposal in Abuja at a dinner marking Saudi Arabia’s 96th National Day celebration. He said the Nigeria-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group should serve as a stronger platform for cooperation between the Nigerian House of Representatives and Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council.
He also called on Saudi Arabia to consider extending visa-on-arrival arrangements to more Nigerians, particularly investors, academics, business travellers and diplomatic passport holders.
The Speaker highlighted opportunities for deeper cooperation in education, trade, investment and pilgrimage, while commending Saudi Arabia for its support to Nigerian students and the improved efficiency of the 2026 Hajj operation.
