TINUBU TASKS OYEBANJI TO IMPROVE GOVERNANCE IN SECOND TERM

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

President Bola Tinubu has urged Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji to improve governance, strengthen public service delivery and prioritise youth empowerment in his second term.

Tinubu gave the charge during Oyebanji’s second-term inauguration in Ado-Ekiti, where he was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

The President urged the governor to sustain unity and inclusive governance while creating more opportunities for young people and addressing the needs of vulnerable citizens. He also assured Ekiti State of continued support from the Federal Government.

In his remarks, Oyebanji thanked the people of Ekiti State for renewing his mandate and expressed appreciation to Tinubu for his support. He also acknowledged the contributions of his predecessors to the state’s development.

The governor pledged to build on his administration’s achievements in workers’ welfare, infrastructure, healthcare, education and security, while maintaining peace and unity across the state.
