Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have killed two terrorists and recovered arms, motorcycles and other items during clearance operations in Sokoto State.

The operation was confirmed in a statement by the Joint Task Force’s Media Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja.

According to the statement, troops of Sector 2 engaged terrorists in a firefight at Waria Forest, killing one and recovering two AK-47 rifles and two motorcycles.

In a separate encounter at Sarma Village, the troops killed another terrorist, forcing the remaining fighters to flee.

A subsequent search of the area led to the recovery of six additional motorcycles, two AK-47 rifles, four magazines, 23 rounds of ammunition and a communication device.

The military said the operations were part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and restore peace to the region. It also urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
