OBI’S MEDIA OFFICE WARNS GOVERNORS AGAINST 2027 ELECTION RIGGING

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Peter Obi Media Office has warned state governors against attempts to manipulate the 2027 general elections, insisting that Nigerians will defend their votes.

In a statement signed by its spokesman, Idris Zekeri Jnr., the office accused some governors of allegedly resorting to electoral manipulation and intimidation instead of presenting their records to voters.

It urged political leaders to respect the democratic process, stressing that Nigerians should be allowed to elect their preferred candidates through free, fair and credible elections.

The media office also described the 2027 election as a defining moment for the country, insisting that leadership should be earned through service and accountability.

Reaffirming its support for Peter Obi’s presidential ambition, the office said he possessed the leadership qualities needed to address the country’s challenges and restore public confidence.

It urged governors and other political leaders to respect the will of the electorate and allow the people’s votes to determine the outcome of the election.
