INDONESIA TO PARTNER KBSG ON MODEL AGRICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION                                                                     23-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                        The Indonesian Government, says it’s ready to partnering with Kebbi State Government so as to boost agriculture and modern livestock production in the state.

The State Commissioner for Animal Health, Husbandry and Fisheries, Alhaji Kabir Usman Alaramma, who stated this at a press briefing, said Kebbi, as the second largest producer of livestock in the country, has immense potential, which need to be fully harnessed.

According to him, this partnership is one of the key outcomes of Governor Nasir Idris recent visit to Indonesia, which focused on advancing agriculture and livestock sectors in the State.

The commissioner explained that, as part of the partnership, Indonesia government, has allocated four training slots for Nigerian veterinary doctors in artificial insemination, with Kebbi securing two slots.

He revealed that, Indonesia has pledged 1,000 straws of semen for improved cattle breeds to Nigeria, with Kebbi receiving 500.
