NELFUND DISMISSES STUDENT LOAN SUSPENSION CLAIM AS FAKE

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has debunked reports claiming it suspended student loan disbursements, describing the circulating notice as fake.

In a statement shared on X, the agency said it has not paused the programme and urged students and stakeholders to ignore the false message and rely only on official updates.

NELFUND added that the scheme remains active, continuing to support access to higher education while warning against misinformation surrounding the initiative.
