FILLING STATION EXPLOSION KILLS TWO, INJURES THREE IN PLATEAU

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Two persons have been confirmed dead and three others injured following an explosion at a filling station in Daffo District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The Plateau State Police Command said the incident occurred during welding repairs on an underground storage tank at Natty Petroleum Investment Nigeria Ltd, describing it as an industrial accident and not a bomb blast as initially reported.

Police added that the injured victims were taken to hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited in the morgue. Authorities also assured residents that the situation is under control and urged the public to disregard misleading reports and rely on verified information.
