The Ebonyi State House of Assembly has amended and passed the State Debt Management Office Law No. 012 of 2020.
The amendment changes the designation of the agency’s Chief Executive from Director to Director-General.
The Speaker of the House, Chief Moses Odunwa, said the Director-General would be appointed by the Governor on the recommendation of a committee established for that purpose.
He said the Director-General would serve an initial five-year term and be responsible for the agency’s policy direction and day-to-day administration.
The Assembly also approved a proposal for the recovery of Ebonyi State’s pension reimbursement from the Federal Government through the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate.
