The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced training for its officers on the electronic registration and uploading of party agents ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party’s National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, said the training would be conducted in four phases, covering the national, state, local government, ward and polling unit levels.
He stressed the importance of party agents in the electoral process, urging participants to share the knowledge with members at their respective levels as elections have moved from manual to electronic systems.
The National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, described the training as important, saying the party wants to avoid challenges experienced during the uploading of its candidates.
Bature said INEC had fixed December 17 as the deadline for uploading agents on its portal, while the PDP had set December 10 for the submission of names.
He urged state officers to carefully screen nominees and select committed party members who would remain loyal throughout the election process.
